Dante is one tomorrow, I'm not sure where the year went, seems to have whizzed by. I'm told that this is a sign of advancing age. ( Note to self, today I feel about 95, so this must be true ) There was a small party yesterday.

  There's Dante with his balloon and then Dante with his daddy blowing out his first birthday candle. Cake made  for him by his dad, who is a very good cook and who likes to bake. Dante had a very nasty flu bug last week , and has very kindly donated it to his Nani, who looked after him one of the days he was ill last week. Cheers lovely boy. Nurseries seem to be a breeding ground for all kinds of disgusting bugs, which they then bring home and give to everyone else.

I actually made it to Fibre Flurry 2 weeks ago, I just never got round to writing about it, what with builders in and everything else. Absolutley brilliant to be able to go as a visitor to a yarn show instead of having to work. I caught up with a load of old friends, and bought a few things (ahem) major purchase was a Namaste bag from Purlescence, it was just so pretty and it was saying things to me like " You know you want me, I'd look soooo good stuffed with your knitting, and there's room for other things, and you know how much you like teal colours" Oh dear there was no hope for me, it's not like I actually needed another knitting bag. Funny word "need", because actually, of course I needed it. Fortunatley with the wisdom of long years of marriage the DH has learnt never to pass comments on yarn related purchases. Sensible man.

My lovely friend Anne Holvey was  exhibiting her gorgeous hand dyed fibres  for the very first time

   Anne is a brilliant pattern designer, and designs a lot of the patterns that I sell at yarn shows, hugely talented, she is now hand dyeing these beautiful fibres in the most stunning colours.
