This single strand 100% pure silk yarn is somewhere between a laceweight and a 4 ply to knit with. It is very soft and silky to handle and a joy to knit with. Use needle sizes starting from a 3.25-3.5mm depending on what you are knitting, for open work lace a bigger needle can be used.  I have made a scarf in a feather and fan stitch and using a 5mm needle and it looks great. The bigger needle size gives a more open work affect. Perfect for scarves, wraps, shawls and for a very special baby knit. A beautiful drape and handling makes this perfect for lace work.
